"Must be broken"

The other day Kellan hopped onto our digital scale, and said, "I am not "E", I am "K". Mommy, this is broken! Daddy needs to fix it!"

It needs a new battery, so the screen reads "E" for error. :)

Ummmm...

i really should say a few words about this, um, experience... but I don't wanna.

And off they went...

My 3 year olds marched right up to the bus this AM, hopped on, and waved goodbye. Off to their first year of preschool. Thankfully I think the excitement of riding the bus overshadowed the realization of leaving mommy.

They are in separate classrooms, but will be together for outside play time. God really matched them with just the right teachers for their personality. Can't wait to hear how the morning went.

Year 2 of Preschool for Aidan

He started today, and was so ready to get back in the social swing of things. He had a great day, liked his new teacher, and is more than ready to go back tomorrow.

Goodnight Kellan, Goodnight Ethan

Instead of asking to be tucked in, these boys asked us to "blanket them up". Too sweet, had to write that one down to always remember.

Rest assured, Kellan is ready for school now

Shortly after we returned home from dropping Caleb off at school today, Kellan came running into the kitchen holding a magnadoodle, with extreme enthusiasm in his voice and on his face, yelling,
"Mom, I made a SOCK! I am ready for school now!!!!"

Not sure exactly what was running through his mind. I missed the "sock drawing" on the preschool readiness checklist. But I seriously wish you could have heard him. It was more than hilarious. I'm so glad Weston was home and we could crumple to the floor in laughter at the cuteness together.

First Day of First Grade

I love the excitement of back-to-school time... The first morning is so special: well-groomed hair, new outfits, fresh school supplies. Fun! This year was much easier for this mom than last, especially since Caleb's best bud got transferred to his class after some last minute switching around, and once Caleb heard that, he was more than good to go. So fun to watch them line up, and to see all the familiar faces around. Loved it!

He had a great day, but was a little bummed that it was only a short day, because eating lunch in the cafeteria is his favorite part of the day, you know.
