He's always loved the ocean, and the things in it.

He's currently studying a unit on the ocean at school.

This morning when I came downstairs, he was looking at a beautiful ocean book we borrowed from the library.

"Hey mom," he says.

"Do you know what's in the deepest part of the ocean?"

After picturing the scene from Finding Nemo, where the goggles fall and fall, I just answer, "What buddy?"

In a dramatic voice, "Things yet to be discovered."

"And when I grow up and am a Fighter Jet Pilot, on my days off I am going to build a submarine so I can be the one to discover them."

Keep dreaming big, little man. The world is yours. :)

Ethan, while peeking through the window at the cookies that were baking in the oven,

"We can't eat them yet. They still need to grow up."

The big brothers just can't get enough of the little guy.

Doctors

Kellan piped up from the back seat in the van last week that he wants to be a doctor when he grows up, "just like Dr. Larson" (our pediatrician.) Thinking about how methodical and meticulous he can be, we affirmed that we thought he would make a great doctor.

Jumping on the bandwagon, Ethan announces he wants to be a doctor also. "Oh, you want to be like Dr. Larson too?" we ask.

"No," he answers very matter-of-factly, "like Dr. Seuss.".

That's our Ethan. :)

We had a very fun party to celebrate the twins turning 3... a tour of the fire station, and then some fire fighter themed games plus cake and ice cream back at the church. Kellan and Ethan were SO excited, and were just enamored with the tour, and with the idea that the day was all about them.

March Madness.

Bad colds and ear infections. Horrible stomach virus for all. Breathing treatments. RSV. 5 day hospital stay for Quinn. Awful sinus infection that is lasting forever for Amy. 3 weekends apart from my hubby. An incredibly messy and disorganized house. Feeling overwhelmed in almost every area of life. Potty training stagnation. Missing Pamper Me Day at Mom2Mom. Extreme exhaustion. Round 2 with a stomach bug. Most days I felt like it was all I could do to put one foot in front of the other.


Surprise day with SIL Megan and FIL Alan. Hearts at Home. Selfless help from Robin and Will. A FIL who drove from PA. A friend bringing dinner. A surprisingly promising tax return. Sunshine! Quinn's endless smiles and chuckles. A great parent teacher conference for Caleb. Getting our new trampoline set up. Celebrating the twins turning 3! A fun at home date with the love of my life. God's relentless love and pursuit despite the madness...
